ARRANGEMENT FOR THE HANDLING OF A FIRE ALARM ATTACHED TO ITS MOUNTING PLATFORM, TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION AND INSTALLATION CHASSIS
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to an arrangement as defined in the preamble of claim 1 for handling a fire alarm attached to its mounting base, a tool for use in the arrangement as defined in the preamble of claim 9 and a mounting base as defined in the preamble of claim 12.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION With the development of technology, the security of buildings has diversified and wireless alarms and alarms have emerged alongside ordinary fire alarms. Wireless alarm devices that detect various threats have also entered the market. Smoke detection devices are equipped with heat and motion sensors, among other things. Existing sensors for building fire alarm and motion detection systems are installed up on the roof of the premises or otherwise below the top of the premises so that flue gases and N temperature changes from the fire can be detected in time. Therefore, maintenance work on the above-mentioned warning and detection devices usually has to be performed from ladders, scaffolding or lifts. The operating model has negatively affected the usability and desirability of wireless fire detectors. 5 Nowadays, when construction or maintenance personnel maintain a fire alarm system at the top of the roof, hereinafter referred to as a fire alarm, they often have to work while standing on a scaffolding or passenger lift. This
This is a high occupational safety risk and, in addition, the cost of maintenance can be high. This is especially true for maintenance work in large and high spaces. Replacing the battery of the wireless fire alarm on the roof is a regular maintenance task and a cost that requires a lot of effort. In addition, equipment failure can result in high costs because the law is accurate and requires that fire alarms be maintained in proper condition.
One problem is that on construction sites, fire alarms usually have to be dipped during each step that generates dust or smoke. Hooding often requires lifts and is a slow operation. Another option is to remove the fire alarms during the work steps that cause dust or smoke and reinstall them. at the end of the work phase. At each stage, it may be necessary to move the lift under the fire alarm to be operated, which may require a lot of work under site conditions.
Previous solutions to facilitate maintenance work are inferior to the new arrangement according to the invention and, for example, a floor-level installation tool due to their usability, occupational safety and inefficiency. o 25
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to obviate the above-mentioned drawbacks and to provide a cost-effective, reliable and safe arrangement for handling a fire alarm mounted on its mounting base, especially in situations where the fire alarm is at the top of a high space. for example on the roof. In addition, the aim is to provide an easy-to-use exchange tool that
The fire alarm can be easily and safely removed and reattached. Yet another object is to provide a fire alarm base which cooperates with said tool and guides the upper end of the tool so that the fire alarm can be easily and reliably positioned in its right position with respect to the fire alarm base even from a long distance and securely attached to its base.
The arrangement according to the invention is characterized by what is stated in the characterizing part of claim 1. Correspondingly, the tool according to the invention is characterized by what is set forth in the characterizing part of claim 9 and the mounting platform according to the invention is characterized by what is set forth in the characterizing part of claim 12. Other embodiments of the invention are characterized by what is stated in the other claims.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to an arrangement for handling a fire alarm that is removably attached to its mounting base. Preferably, the arrangement comprises a tool with an elongate arm for securing and removing the fire alarm in place.
Preferably, the arrangement also comprises a mounting base provided with first alignment elements and second alignment elements at one end of the tool, the second N 30 alignment elements being adapted to be positioned substantially N with the first alignment elements in the mounting base.
Further, the alignment members are preferably arranged to generate a magnetic attraction between them in at least one of the following ways: the alignment elements of the mounting base and the alignment elements of the tool are magnets; the alignment elements of the mounting base are magnets and the alignment elements of the tool are of a material adhering to the magnet; the alignment elements of the mounting base are made of a material adhering to the magnet. The alignment elements of the tool are magnets.
The mounting base, the tool and the fire alarm are made to fit together so that the opposing alignment members and the opposing fastening members can make compatible contacts in the proper order, and so that the fire alarm is guided precisely to the opposite fastening members.
For this reason, the fastening members to which the fire alarm is removably attached may be in a separate mounting part to be mounted on the mounting base or in the mounting base itself. The mounting base and the replacement tool each have at least two alignment elements of substantially punctate magnetic material which generate a sufficiently strong magnetic attraction between their counterparts to apply the mounting tabs acting as mounting members for the fire alarm to the mounting base or mounting member. The pairs of alignment members are positioned so that the tool in the arrangement positions the mounting tabs of the fire alarm N at different points with the mounting tabs attached to the fire alarm, but so close to each other that the mounting tabs can be easily connected only by rotating the tool arm. In this case, the tool aligns itself with the mounting base by means of magnets which are alignment elements.
ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION In the arrangement according to the invention, with the replacement tool according to the invention, which can have a shank 5 meters long, the operations on the fire alarms are faster and easier and the operations can be carried out much more safely.
This is also of great help on construction and renovation sites, where fire alarms can be easily removed from under dust or other harmful measures and put back on easily and quickly after the measures.
The arrangement according to the invention makes it possible to detach the fire alarm from its high mounting base and to align the replacement tool during the mounting phase of the fire alarm without visual observation of the mounting members and their mutual position.
This allows the fire alarm to be serviced from the floor without the need for service personnel to reach the ceiling to remove the fire alarm.
The fire alarm can be several meters high and the installer is able to remove the fire alarm from the roof and reattach it to its base from a distance.
This is possible even if the installer does not see the location of the fire alarm or its base connectors.
Attaching the fire alarm 25 to its mounting base is accomplished by a magnetic alignment method in which the magnets pull and turn the top of the tool to the correct position at the beginning of the mounting step. x a N 30 In the arrangement N according to the invention, the service personnel can attach the fire alarm to their high base without the use of a visual tool, without visual contact with the mounting members on the fire alarm and the base.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention will now be described in more detail by means of application examples with reference to the accompanying simplified drawings, in which Figure 1 shows a side view and a simplified the end of the replacement tool is cut at the alignment members in the direction AA shown in Fig. 3, Fig. 3 is a plan view of the upper end of one replacement tool; Fig. 6 is a bottom plan view of the mounting base of Fig. 5; o 25
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
SN Fig. 1 shows a simplified and side view of one mounting situation of the fire alarm 5 to the mounting base 2 placed on the ceiling 6 of the space by means of the arrangement 1 and the tool 4 N 30 according to the invention. In this case, a separate mounting part 7 , by means of which the fire alarm 5 can be fastened to the mounting base 2. In this case, the mounting part 7 has fastening members 7a which correspond to the fastening members 5a of the fire alarm 5.
The arrangement 1 comprises a mounting base 2 comprising one or more, preferably at least two first alignment elements 2a, a substantially long-handled tool 4 comprising one or more, preferably at least two second alignment elements 4a, at one end of the arm 3 and the arm 3 4b, i.e. in the operating position at the upper end, the storage space 4c.
The alignment members 2a and 4a are substantially compatible with each other and at the same distance from each other.
The mounting base 2 is preferably attached to the roof 6 of the room, but in places where the fire alarm 5 is mounted at a lower height than the ceiling, for example in large halls to a beam below the ceiling, a larger mounting base 2 can act as a smoke collector.
In this case, the smoke-collecting area of the mounting base 2 is preferably larger than the corresponding area of the fire alarm.
In addition, the edges of the mounting base 2 can bend downwards, so that smoke collects faster and easier under the mounting base 2 in the fire alarm 5. o 25 The installer guides the arm 4 by lifting the other end a 4b the mounting elements 4a fall into the area of influence of the alignment element path 2a of the mounting base 2.
Preferably, the alignment elements 2a E and 4a are magnets, or the other pair may be magnets N30 and the other pair of magnetic, highly magnetic adhesive material.
The magnetic fields generated by the essential small alignment elements 2a and / or 4a accurately align the alignment elements 4a at the other end 4b of the tool 4 so that the position in the position 4c
the fastening members 5a of the upper surface of the notching device 5 are aligned with the fastening members 7a of the mounting part 7 fixed to the mounting base 2 to perform exactly the correct starting position and position.
When the fire alarm 5 has thus been brought to exactly the correct position, it is fixed in place by turning it by means of the arm 3 of the tool 4.
Fig. 2 is a side view of the other end 4b of the tool 4 according to the invention shown in Fig. 1, cut at the alignment members 4a in the direction A-A shown in Fig. 3.
The alignment elements 4a are outside the other plane of the second end 4b, i.e. in the upper operating position of the tool 4, so that they can first hit the area of action of the alignment elements Za in connection with the mounting base 2.
In addition, the alignment elements 4a are positioned so as to be substantially compatible with the alignment elements 2a in connection with the mounting base 2 and to align the mounting members 5a of the fire alarm 5 with the mounting members 7a in the correct starting position.
The fire alarm 5 is arranged to place the fastening members Da upwards in the storage space 4c of the second end 4b of the tool 4.
The placement space 4c is preferably shaped as a cup and so that the fire alarm 5 cannot move or rotate from the position 5 intended for it in the placement space 4c when the arm 3 of the tool 4 is rotated.
Preferably, the depth of the position N 4c is such that when the fire alarm 5 is in the position E, its fastening members 5a extend over or at least flush with the alignment elements 4a, i.e. above or at least flush with the alignment elements 4a in the operating position of the tool 4.
Figure 3 shows a top view of a tool 4 according to the invention when the tool 4 is in its operating position. The shape of the storage space 4c prevents the corresponding fire alarm 5 from rotating and moving, and its purpose is to keep the fire alarm 5 in place. When viewed from above, the accommodation space 4c may be exactly the same shape as the fire alarm 5 or the critical parts of the storage space 4c, such as straight walls and the angles between them, may have the same location and dimensions as the corresponding locations of the fire alarm 5. In the case according to Figure 3, the placement space 4c could be open at its corners, for example, and nevertheless its straight wall portions would keep the fire alarm 5 in place. Figure 4 shows a bottom view of one mounting base 2 and a mounting part 7 fixed to it according to the invention. The mounting base 2 comprises alignment elements 2a, such as magnets or elements of magnet-adhesive material, and mounting holes 2c for mounting the mounting base in place. In this example, a separate mounting portion 7 is attached to the mounting base 2, comprising mounting members 7a for mounting the fire alarm to the mounting section 7 and mounting holes 7b for mounting the mounting member 7 to the mounting base 2. The mounting members 7a are compatible with the mounting members 5a with.
SN The alignment elements 2a in the mounting base 2 are positionally compatible with the alignment elements 4a N 30 of the tool 4 and are positioned so that when the alignment elements 4a of the tool 4 are at, immediately below the alignment elements ä 2a of the mounting base 2, the mounting elements of the fire alarm 5 5a and the fastening members 7a of the mounting part 7 are next to each other and so close to each other that by turning the arm 3 of the tool 4 the fastening members 5a and 7a engage each other and the fire alarm 5 locks in place. Figures 5 and 6 show in simplified form one mounting base 2 according to the invention mounted on the ceiling without the above-mentioned mounting part 7. Figure 5 shows the mounting base 2 seen from the side and Figure 6 shows the same mounting base 2 seen from below.
The mounting base 2 comprises similar alignment elements 2a, such as magnets or elements of magnet-adhesive material, and mounting holes 2c for mounting the mounting base 2 in place as the mounting base 2 according to Fig. 4. In this example, however, the mounting base 2 does not have a separate mounting part 7 fastening members 2b for fastening the fire alarm 5 to the mounting base 2. The fastening members 2b are substantially similar to the fastening members 7a described above and are compatible with the fastening members Sa at the bottom of the fire alarm 5.
Also in this solution, the alignment elements 2a in the mounting base 2 are compatible with the alignment elements 4a of the tool 4 and are positioned so that when the alignment elements 4a of the tool 4 are at the alignment elements 2a of the mounting base 2, immediately below them, the fire alarm and the fastening members 2b of the mounting base 2 are next to each other and so close to each other that by rotating the arm 3 of the tool 4, the fastening members 5a and 2b engage each other and the fire alarm 5 5 locks in place.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the various embodiments of the invention are not limited to the above
marks, but may vary within the scope of the claims set out below.
Thus, for example, a larger mounting base than described above can act as a smoke collector, so that the fire alarm can be mounted at a lower height than the ceiling.
It will also be apparent to those skilled in the art that the tool arm may be a telescopic arm having two or more telescopically nested portions, or the tool may also have an extension arm that may be attached to the lower end of the tool arm, for example.
It is also clear to a person skilled in the art that in the arrangement according to the invention the tool with its long arms can also be used to assist in securing the mounting base in place.
Especially the length-locking telescopic arm tool is a good help in attaching the mounting base.
When using the tool according to the invention as an aid for fixing the mounting base, a mounting glue suitable for use with the material of the mounting location is applied to the upper surface of the mounting base and the mounting base is connected to the other end of the tool and raised to its desired mounting location.
The tool arm is then supported, for example, at its lower end on the floor or on another suitable support base so that the tool remains a to press the mounting base against its mounting location.
When the glue 5 has dried, the tool is removed, for example, by releasing the pressure caused by the telescope and pulling the alignment elements at the other end of the tool E out of the alignment elements of the mounting base.
At the same time, a grip test can be performed on the mounting adhesive, since the alignment elements must be separated from each other against magnetic attraction.
If the mounting base detaches from its mounting location at this stage, the adhesive mounting has not been strong enough.
